FIRST LOOK: Walker Trolleys Aims to Make Walking Golf Cool Again
Are you a cart player or part of the Pushcart Mafia? Personally, I love to walk when I play.
Usually I get out at first light by myself and I enjoy sweeping the dew with nothing but sounds of nature around me. The issue I have with this is that I carry my bag.
I can’t easily bring a morning coffee with me and I am battling that fine line between “I’m still young enough to carry my own bag” and “You should probably get a pair of New Balance shoes to go with your grey hair pop.”
I have been avoiding moving to the pushcart for a few years because I don’t want to be grouped with that image of being an older golfer and I don’t really care for the way most of them look. That’s starting to change now that I’ve been made aware of Walker Trolleys. Not to mention saying Trolley sounds more fun than pushcart. I’m a less is more kind of guy and these fit that mold.

Walker Trolleys first debuted at the PGA show in Orlando and they look sleek and sophisticated without being overly bulky. They have a streamlined appearance with the overall goal/ mission to make walking golf cool again.
The Walker Trolley was featured on “Morning Drive” as one of the PGA Show’s best products of opening day. Let’s be honest, if you are reading this you have been at your local course and witnessed a group in front of you, in two golf carts zig zagging to both sides of the fairway taking FOREVER to hit each shot.
I don’t have time for that. It’s annoying and it makes it impossible to get into a good rhythm when you must wait for Jerry and Bob to bounce around on each hole. A long as your knees and body can take it, walking is just so much better but I’m bias.

The Walker Trolley has a one hand fold design that allows for easy foldup and storage. It fits the trunk or cargo area of almost any car or SUV.
The Trolley has a canvas storage unit made of a waxed canvas and they are working with a canvas company so they can offer endless ways to customize their trolley.
Overall, I love the way these trolleys look. They pulled the design inspiration from the old bikes of the 20’s and 30’s. Strong and sturdy design without any unnecessary editions. They just stand out and look better than those big plastic push carts I’ve seen over the years.

The design and style do come with a price. The Walker Trolley will retail for $399 with an anticipated shipment in late spring along with the beginning of golf season. If you want to get ahead of the anticipated demand, you can pre-order with a deposit of $100.
If you are on the fence about converting over to the Pushcart Mafia, these may be an option for you.
