The 3M Open | Fantasy Picks, Bettings Odds, & Pick I Love This Week

The PGA Tour is headed to Minnesota this week for the 3M Open. This was the venue last season when then Tour rookie Matthew Wolff captured his first professional win. TPC Twin Cities will play just under 7,200 yards, so the guys will go low here. Wolff won last year with a total score of -21. Water is the only trouble that lurks around this place, so staying dry will result in very low scores.

Let’s take a look at some Fantasy Lineup picks this week.

Top Tier

Paul Casey – $10,100

Gaining strokes tee to green here is critical, and Paul Casey does that as good as anyone on Tour. Very straight off the tee, and one of the best ball-strikers on the planet. He missed the cut last week, but gained almost 4 strokes on the field with his ball-striking. He hasn’t played a lot of golf since the re-start, but finished in the Top 25 in Connecticut.

Tommy Fleetwood – $10,500

The man with the hair is back. Tommy is finally making his return to the Tour after a very long break, and very happy to have him back. When Fleetwood has it going, it’s unreal to watch. Strikes the ball as good as anyone, and also drives it super straight. Can’t wait to watch Tommy this week.

Tony Finau – $10,900

I can’t figure out Tony Finau. His game is unreal, and seems to be in contention every week he plays. But he only has 1 win. Does the Sunday pressure get to him? I’m not sure, but he does enter this week in good form. I’m sure he’ll be in contention again, but this time he’ll look to finish the deal.

Middle Tier

Matthew Wolff – $9,700

Won here last year, and is playing really good golf right now. Solo second at the Workday after holding the 54 hole lead, and finished in the Top 25 at the Memorial during difficult conditions. When Matthew is making birdies they come in bunches.

Doc Redman – $8,700

He missed the cut at Memorial, but before that had a 3 run stretch of T21, T11, T21. Last week, he forgot how to putt. In 2 rounds he lost 6 strokes putting, while gaining 3 strokes with ball-striking. If he gets his putter back, he’ll find his way into contention this week.

I grew up in southern New Hampshire, where I first fell in love with the game of golf. I started by just going out and messing around with my buddies and focusing purely on having a good time! I never took golf seriously until I moved down to Tampa, FL to attend the University of South Florida. Go Bulls! At the start of my junior year I got a job working as a cart boy at a local private country club. This is when I started to focus on golf becoming my career. During the fall of my senior year, I turned from a 14 handicap, to a 2. I passed the PAT scoring test my first try and haven't looked back.
