BETS: Matchups, Faders, Straight Up Winners, & More // WGC FedEX St. Jude Invitational

Slap a Falcons jersey on my back and call me Todd Gurley because I went 3-0 in matchups last week.

Vegas beat Hoffman by 7 strokes, Tringale beat Rodgers by 6 strokes, and for my lock of the week, which is now 2-1, Sepp Straka beat Tom Lewis by 3 strokes. What a good week. If you’re a fan of these articles and have any suggestions for what you want to see in these articles, direct message @golficitybets or @thepinhighpod on instagram. Or just give me one of your picks and I’ll put it up on the story and give you credit.

Let’s get into the WGC St. Jude, where it’s going to be big bombers that we’re taking off the tee.

To Win The WGC St. Jude Invitational: Viktor Hovland (+3100)

This seems like a great week for Viktor Hovland to break back into the winner’s circle, unless you believe in the Puerto Rican curse. Hovland is 8th in both Strokes Gained: Off The Tee and Strokes Gained: Approach, so it’s just going to take a good week with the putter for Viktor to win it. The green’s aren’t all that tough this week, so I think this could be a good pick.

To Finish Top 10: Tony Finau (+300)

You know what, why not pick the hot hand and bet Finau to come Top 10 for the 32nd time in his career (Next best in his career timespan is Fleetwood with 16). Another big bomber who is great off the tee and approaching the green.

Tournament Prop Bets

Top Arizona State Finisher: Jon Rahm (-150)

It’s a bigger tournament, so there’s some more obscure bets to take advantage of. The opponents for this bet are Paul Casey, Chez Reavie, Phil Mickelson, and Matt Jones, so I like the odds of this one a lot.

Top 3 English Finisher: Tyrrell Hatton (-137)

Hatton has been so solid, finishing top 20 in all of his starts since the return of the tour, so I think he can at least finish top 3 within his own nationality.

LOCK OF THE WEEK: Winner to Par the 72nd Hole (-175)

This is a great bet, especially when the finishing hole of a tournament is a par 4. Usually, guys are leading going into the 72nd hole and want to finish it off safe and play for par.

I’m feeling confident in these picks this week, let’s keep the momentum going.
