Ok, let’s make some money this week in Cali!

It was an interesting final round of the Sony Open,  resulting in Kevin Na returning to the winner’s circle. Our pick for the winner, Collin Morikawa, posted his second straight T-7. We’re close to cashing one of these, I can feel it in the betting veins.

The matchup picks went 1-1 this week, which never hurts you, but we did cash the best bet, which was Webb Simpson to make an eagle at +163 (not too shabby). Let’s talk about the American Express this week in Arizona.

It’s an interesting set up this week as the tournament will be played at the PGA West Tournament Course, as well as the PGA West Stadium Course.

In the past, it’s been held at three separate courses, but they left La Quinta Country Club out this year, so hopefully that makes it a little easier on us golf bettors. Andrew Landry took the dub here last year, but I don’t see there being a repeat winner at a course where a final score in the mid 20 under’s wins it. Get ready for plenty of scoring this weekend.

To Win The American Express: Scottie Scheffler (+1700) Matthew Wolff (+2300)

I’m sticking with the trend of taking two winners because I think we’re very close to hitting one. Scottie Scheffler has been on an absolute heater in the past few tournaments he’s played in, and it doesn’t hurt that he had a solo 3rd finish here last year. He’s incredible at gaining strokes off the tee, and he’s actually gained strokes putting his last 3 events. Scottie can go low and I expect him to have more success this year at this tourney.

Matthew Wolff has great value this week at +2300. The guy is an elite ball striker, LONG driver of the ball, and can get real hot with the putter. The perfect combination for a course like this.

To Finish Top 10 at The American Express: Cameron Champ (+400)

Champ finished T-21 here last year, and has been in pretty good form in his last few events. He attacks par 5’s and has some good value to contend here and finish inside the top 10.

Two Matchup Picks

Russell Knox (-145) over Francesco Molinari

Sepp Straka (-106) over Keegan Bradley

Best Bet: Brian Harman Top 40 Finish (-110)

Brian Harman is just a pretty rock solid golfer. He’s finished top 40 in 8 of his last 10 starts and finished T-21 here last year.

Easy money.
