Today is National Umbrella Day, meaning there is no better time to announce a new collection honoring one of the all-time greats.

The PUMA Golf x Arnold Palmer collection emphasizes the iconic style of the King. The colors resemble Arnold Palmer’s wardrobe both on and off the course, and feature many of the small icons that go hand and hand with Arnie’s name: The Umbrella, Iced Tea and Lemonade, and small figures depicting his swing thoughout the years.

“When designing this collection we had the honor of spending time with the Arnold Palmer Enterprises team, along with close Palmer friends and family, diving deep into the archives to bring key elements of his life and career into every piece. We wanted to make each piece something special that fans of Mr. Palmer and the game of golf will truly appreciate. We feel we captured the essence of his life and trend-setting style in a modern way in this new collection.”

– Chris MacNeill, Senior Product Line Manager, PUMA Golf.

There are over a dozen items in this new collection, but let’s go over my favorites…

AP Rope

I’m a huge fan of ropers in general, but this one is sick. Love the brown, leather strap on the back, and the modern look of Arnies umbrella on the front is a great centerpiece. The subtle yellow lining the circle matching the yellow rope on the brim ties everything together. The AP Rope is priced at $35.00.

AP Cloudspun Crewneck

I LOVE sporting a crewneck sweater during a Fall round, so this piece had to go on the list. The modern take on Arnie’s umbrella again serves as the centerpiece, and the pink inner line adds a nice touch. This sweater is priced at $100.

Arnold Palmer made an enormous impact on the game of golf, and his presence is felt every year at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. In a few weeks we’ll be back at Bay Hill, and I’m sure many fans will be sporting this new collection (including me, who has tickets already, and has purchased one of the hats).

I grew up in southern New Hampshire, where I first fell in love with the game of golf. I started by just going out and messing around with my buddies and focusing purely on having a good time! I never took golf seriously until I moved down to Tampa, FL to attend the University of South Florida. Go Bulls! At the start of my junior year I got a job working as a cart boy at a local private country club. This is when I started to focus on golf becoming my career. During the fall of my senior year, I turned from a 14 handicap, to a 2. I passed the PAT scoring test my first try and haven't looked back.
