Footwear is one of the most overlooked parts of your golf toolkit. Indeed, it’s your primary connection with the ground, which modern science has uncovered as the primary power source. And add in the fact that uncomfortable footwear means, at best, a lingering distraction or, at worst, blisters, and finding footwear that can do it all can prove to be a challenge.

But adidas’ Tour360 has 19 years of development history, and the 2024 iteration is by and far their best yet.

Building off the prior generation Tour360 and incorporating technologies that debuted in the ZG23 along with some new ones that have been developed since then, the Tour360 24 has demonstrated why it’s one of—if not THE—best golfing shoes available today.

Staying true to its namesake, the Tour360 is adidas’ flagship shoe, which is why it still benefits from a waterproof leather upper section (rather than recycled materials). This immediately gives a premium feel that isn’t found in many of modern golf shoes. But it also means that the Tour360 24 is significantly more durable than its rivals.

Moving to the lower and sole sections, the Tour360 24 features 3 technologies that ensure comfort and performance. First, a Torsion Bridge plate that ensures stability across the entire shoe. Second, JET BOOST—featured for the first time in a golf shoe—and LIGHTSTRIKE cushioning provide comfort with further stability support. Third, a new TPU sole pattern paired with strategically located, replaceable spikes ensures maximum traction and performance.

Turning to the inside, features that aren’t immediately visible are the INSITE 2.0 Sockliner and internal 360WRAP, which ensure a snug, secure, and comfortable fit that allows you to transfer maximum, controlled energy from the ground through your feet and into your swing.

I mention all of these features to help provide you with some insight into why these are the best shoes I’ve worn. Immediately upon unboxing the Tour360, you realize that this is an uber-premium shoe—the leather construction and stitching are paired with classy and subtle design features, including the adidas stripes and “TOUR 360” designation. And despite the leather upper and 360Wrap technologies, the Tour360 24 doesn’t just look the part. In fact, you can wear the Tour360’s straight out of the box and, once stepping foot on the first tee box, immediately realize these shoes will allow you to confidently tap into your full performance.

Regardless of the conditions—dry or wet—the Tour360 24’s give you a feeling of confidence. The “cherry on top” is that the Tour360 24 is available in both laced and BOA versions. While the laced version is slightly lighter and fits more friendly for the wider foot, the BOA version is great for someone who wants the most-secure feeling shoe without ever having to worry about their fit ever loosening during a shot.

After testing both versions for months now, these are my go-to shoes. In fact, when traveling for some vacation golf in Hawaii, I had no doubt that the Tour360 24’s would give me the confidence to confidently play my best (which is exactly what happened). And now that I’m home, I have no doubt that these will continue to be the shoes I reach for first, regardless of the conditions I’m facing.
