ALL-IN: Man Who Cashed In On Tiger’s Masters Win is Betting it All
James Adducci, the man who won $1.2 million on a single bet of Tiger Woods winning the Masters is now looking to secure a prize 10x that.
If you recall the original story, 39-year-old Adducci placed a huge bet on Tiger to win the Masters and cashed in big time. Back then, he really didn’t know how he would spend the money outside of paying off some debt but it appears that Adducci has found where to put some of those earnings. Adducci is placing another bet with $100,000 of his $1.2 million and he’s riding Tiger again.
The old phrase in gambling says to quit while you’re ahead but instead, Adduci is going to double down by betting that money on Tiger to complete the Grand Slam starting with the upcoming PGA Championship. The bet is a lofty one, even more so considering Adducci didn’t make a sports bet ever until last month but there seems to be a method to his madness.

“Tiger has history winning at Bethpage, and he won at Pebble, by the biggest margin in history,” Adducci told Golf Digest. “This is a very unique situation. That’s the way I’m thinking about it. We know that with every win, the energy level will get amped up. His game gets elevated. The expectation—does he play well under pressure? He’s the definition of excelling under pressure. That’s how my brain works.”

Adducci’s brain better be working well because there hasn’t been a Grand Slam winner since Bobby Jones accomplished the feat in 1930. Tiger has come close, however, holding all major titles at the same time but not in the same season. But if Adducci’s thoughts are right, he stands to collect one of the largest payouts in sports betting history. His $100,000 bet is at 100-1 odds, which would net him $10 million.
If you believe in Adducci’s logic, it may be smart to put down a bet of your own, but maybe not as hefty. Only time will tell if it all pays off for Adducci but we’ll find out soon enough with the PGA Championship coming up right around the corner.
