Amateur Snipes Bystander with Driver Shot
Sometimes we just can’t learn from our prior mistakes. And the lesson here is simple: Average Joe’s are Not Pros.
Just because you are the New Captain of the Club doesn’t mean you are the best player, especially under pressure 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️#CaptainsDriveIn 😳😳😳 pic.twitter.com/P8cBw8Ftvf

What appears to be the newest case of standing in front of an amateur golfer with a driver takes places at a beautiful European club, castle and all. And while many would think the Captain of the Club has control of the game, it seems to be that would be the fool’s choice.
After announcing “here we go,” and following it up with a quick jest, the Captain—who is the only person I see in shorts—seems to give a nonchalant swing just to get the ball out there. Unfortunately, he should’ve committed to the swing a little more, as he quickly shuts the face all the way and smash a rocket into the nearby onlookers.
And the opposite camera angle is, remarkably, even less easy on the eyes:

It seems the ball beelines for an onlookers head and ricochets right off it (as the Captain holds the finish, likely in complete disbelief).
First and foremost, we hope whoever got hit is okay.
But second (and perhaps the most important lesson for everyone who didn’t get hit), is stop standing in front of amateur golfers. In fact, stop standing in front of all golfers. While we all want to get that incredible, once-in-a-lifetime shot on our phone camera, it’s not worth catching a Max Homa BB in the dome.
