An Inside Look at the LIV Golf Locker Room as Caddies Continue to Praise New Circuit

LIV Golf plays its first event in Asia this week, as the group of 48 tees off in Bangkok, Thailand, this Friday.

Improved pay and treatment of caddies have been mentioned a few times by players who compared what caddy life was like on the PGA Tour as compared to LIV, including Brooks Koepka, who said LIV “treats caddies like human beings.”

This visual comes as an anonymous caddie told Golf Digest the difference between working on the two tours.

“[PGA] Tour officials looked at us as disposable,” the caddy explained. “LIV Golf clearly understands that plight and history because everyone I’ve met since we’ve joined has gone out of their way to do the opposite. LIV Golf arranges and pays for our flights. …Hotels are paid for. The dining area and caddie locker rooms are better than what is made available to players at some PGA Tour events.”

The caddy went on to explain while he did not get a cut of his golfer’s signing bonus, he is still taking home life-changing money by getting a cut of the huge purses and also will get a cut of all team and season-ending bonuses.
