Anonymous Golfer Posts 135 At Monday Qualifier
In a valiant Hail Mary attempt to make the Valero Texas Open, or after a bad day, a golfer in the Monday Qualifier apparently posted a 135.
The match took place at the Club Of Kingwood (Forrest Course) in Texas. The minimum to qualify was 4 under, but this golfer posted a score of 63 over par.

The front nine was the obvious success of the round, with two pars attained. The total for the front was 65 at 29 over. The back nine was the blow-up with no pars or birdies and a posting of a 70.
The impressive part of the stat line was the close attainment of a 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13, but unfortunately, the score of 11 on a hole was missing.

Not since Mike Reasor in the 1974 Tallahassee Open did we see such a grandiose score in competition with such intrigue. Reasor followed a 114, making the cut to finish 93 over.
Reasor was thrown from a horse into a tree in between rounds and suffered multiple injuries. Completing the tournament to maintain his status for the Nelson Classic, Reasor has become synonymous with such high scores.
We hope that whoever this anonymous golfer was, he got a stroke of good fortune for finishing such a tough round.
