Arccos Caddie Link USGA-Compliant
Arccos recently released its newest hardware update: the Arccos Caddie Link, a device the size of a matchbox that weighs less than 25 grams and, most importantly, allows you to leave your phone in the cart.
The new device is a huge improvement, as many users often complained of having to carry their smartphone in their front pocket for accurate shot detection (which isn’t helped by smartphone manufacturers who have started making tablet-sized phones).

And to help ensure that users are afforded with limitless usage of Arccos Caddie and Arccos Caddie Link, Arccos has now secured approval from the United States Golf Association that Link is, in fact, permitted under the Rules of Golf (pursuant to USGA decision #2020-0305).
“Link being ruled conforming is a game changer for coaches, teams and players of all levels, including Tour professionals,” says Ryan Crysler, Senior Instructor at Butch Harmon Floridian and Arccos Ambassador. “The ability for players to automatically track competition data with Link eliminates the need for them to make notes in round, or carry their phone, meaning they can now focus on playing and also save them time post round. As a coach, this is priceless and is a critical element of using data to build better improvement plans for our students, especially those with PGA and LPGA Tour aspirations.”
Indeed, a recent Arccos software update that now provides users with Strokes Gained Analysis has supercharged the value of the data captured by now allowing players to select any target handicap—from Tour player to 20—and measure their performance against that goal across every game facet.

It goes without saying that we all wish we could have our coach out with us on the course to help identify where we can shave a few strokes, but with the Arccos Caddie and Arccos Caddie Link, you can record every shot from every golf course you play, both casual and competitive rounds, to analyze your strengths and weaknesses.
Make sure to keep your eyes open for our upcoming review of the Arccos Caddie Link here on Golficity.
