BEHIND THE SCENES: How Titleist Used FPV Drones in Get Killer Shots in their Pro V1 Commercial

Chances are pretty good that you’ve already seen this Titleist commercial for the new Pro V1:

And, if you’re like me, you may have thought those epic shots of the camera chasing the ball as it flies through the air had to be CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) right?

I mean, there’s no way to get a shot that good in camera…right?!?

Well, thankfully Titleist dropped a little “behind the scenes” video showing the mind-blowing work that went into getting the perfect FPV drone shot for the commercial:

And I know first-hand just how difficult it is to get this FPV shot. 

How you ask? Well, a couple months back we tried to get this FPV drone shot ourselves, and let me tell you…it’s A LOT HARDER THAN IT LOOKS!

But Titleist took this concept to a whole new level, enlisting FPV racing star Johnny FPV to man the controls.

And as you can see in the behind the scenes video, this was not your average FPV drone, but instead a custom-built unit with a beast of a camera strapped to it.

It’s this kind of thinking that is pushing content creation to new heights, so hat’s off to Titleist for pushing raising the bar with this one!
