What a crazy finish for Morikawa to take it at the Workday Charity Open… and it wasn’t on live TV. But that’s beside the point. Adam Hadwin notched a t35 for us to win our lock of the week, which was for Hadwin to finish top 40 at -125. Let’s move onto yet another week at Muirfield Village, but this time for the storied Memorial Tournament.

To Win The Memorial: Bryson Dechambeau (+1050)

I mean can you really blame me? This field is stacked but it’s not like he’s +650 like at the Rocket Mortgage. The field’s average driving distance this week was 313… Bryson probably scoffed when he saw that. He’s playing unreal golf and I think he’ll continue that at a tournament he’s a former winner at.

To Finish Top 10 at The Memorial: Abraham Ancer (+450)

I think Abraham Ancer is wildly undervalued this week at The Memorial. The top 3 guys in the field last week at this same course were 1, 2, and 3 in SG: approach and you already know how much we talk about Ancer’s ball striking ability. He’s 5th on Tour in proximity to the hole from 150-175 yards, which has figured to be a big stat here, and he’s still coming off of that hot start since the return from the break.

Tournament Matchups

Daniel Berger (-120) over Patrick Reed

First and foremost, who doesn’t love rooting against Patrick Reed. But on a more serious note, Daniel Berger literally took a W at the Charles Schwab and a T3 at the RBC Heritage and said see ya later for a few weeks. The dude couldn’t be more hot at the moment and although Reed was T39 last week, I think Berger is in a better spot to take this matchup.

Gary Woodland -125 over Tony Finau

I don’t know if you guys saw, because it would be easy not to, but Gary Woodland snuck in for a Top 5 finish last week. He’s an excellent ball striker which is what I really want to tail this week as I’ve mentioned.

LOCK OF THE WEEK

Bryson Dechambeau Top 20 Finish (-137)

Our ‘lock of the week’ segment started last week, and it started with a win. Let’s make it two with Bryson. Since the break, he’s finished T3, T8, T8, T6, 1. And on top of that, his last two starts before Covid, he was solo 4th and solo 2nd. This guy hasn’t even finished outside of the top 10 since Super Bowl weekend! I think he’ll easily notch the top 20.

Really confident with some of these picks. I like pretty much any of the guys I picked top to bottom to seriously content for the golf tournament, so let’s go.
