Golf Twitter got a ‘W’ this weekend when Max Homa, the appointed king of that section of Twitter, got his second win of his career on TOUR.

Oh, and we cashed a Top 20 bet on him pretty easily.

It’s his second win at a major championship venue, the first being Quail Hollow and now the course he grew up watching tournaments at, Riviera Country Club. Homa is on a consistently solid run of golf right now, so it should be interesting to see how he fares at The Concession this week down in Bradenton, Florida. Let’s get into the picks.

To Win The WGC Workday Championship: Tyrrell Hatton (+2250)

There are a lot of guys making their debuts in the U.S. for 2021 this week, and Hatton highlights that list for me. After three events on the European Tour, he’s 1st in the Race to Dubai standings with a win Abu Dhabi, a T22 in Dubai, and a T6 in Saudi Arabia.

He’s playing really good golf right now, and he’s one of those guys that plays really well at difficult courses. The greens are going to be tough this week, and the course is playing long at 7,500 yards. I think Tyrrell Hatton will be contending come Sunday.

To Finish Top 10 at The WGC Workday Championship: Cameron Smith (+400)

Cameron Smith has played some really good golf over the past few months, most recently this past weekend at Riviera, where he finished in 4th place. The course this weekend has a lot of similarities to Riviera Country Club around and on the greens, so I expect Cameron Smith to continue his impressive stretch of play.

To Finish Top 20 at The WGC Workday Championship: Tommy Fleetwood (+150)

No Americans on the board yet this week. Fleetwood is another guy making his debut in the U.S. for 2021, and he’s put up some solid finishes across the pond. He can keep up with anyone with his iron play, and has a history of playing well at difficult courses, so the new Team Taylormade member should have a good week at The Concession.

Two Matchup Picks: (8-5-1 Record in 2021)

Justin Rose (-150) over Matt Kuchar

Lanto Griffin (-114) over Brendon Todd

LOCK OF THE WEEK: Jon Rahm Top 10 (+100)

Last week, the lock lost for the first time in over a month, but we’re back on track this week. Rahm didn’t even have a fantastic week for him at Riviera, but a final round 5-under 66 propelled him to a T5 finish. He’ll be in contention once again this week and might even take the trophy home.
