Bryson DeChambeau has withdrawn from a long driving competition and has opted to have surgery on his left hand immediately on Thursday.

Bryson was quoted as saying, “One of the things I didn’t do is take care of my hands and my hip like I should have, and I went pretty hard.”

Dechambeau has not been himself lately. After a long stretch of adding his own twist to the game in monster drives and insane clubhead and ball speed, it seems as though not taking care of key aspects of his health have caught up to him.

At The Masters, Bryson was clearly feeling the effects of repeated explosive movements in his quest to change the game. It is yet to be known when Bryson DeChambeau will be able to return, nor if he will continue to use force and whirlwind club speed in his game.

During the 2019 offseason, DeChambeau vowed too and successfully gained 30 pounds, arriving unrecognizably to PGA golfers and fans alike. All part of his quest to shorten the golf course, many speculated that this method would not be sustainable.

Do you think Bryson should continue to beast, or should he slow down and return to his pre weight gain form?
