BREAKING: Bubba Watson Splits from Longtime Caddie Ted Scott

For 15 long years, Bubba Watson and Ted Scott have been a team. That partnership has now come to an end as the duo decided to part ways during the first few weeks of the 2021-2022 Tour season.

Watson and Scott have been through a lot together, on and off the course, including 12 PGA Tour wins, Watson’s very public struggles with anxiety and starting a family, and the death of Bubba’s father in 2010.

On the bright side, Ted Scott gets to ditch the job of being Bubba’s punching bag while ON the bag for a decade and a half, taking the blame and verbal abuse for many of Bubba’s mistakes. At the 2013 Travelers Championship, Bubba famously hit Scott with, “Water. It’s in the water. That club. Yes, the water” after dunking it on the par-3 16th.
