To no one’s surprise, the PGA Tour has announced the Memorial Tournament will no longer be open to the limited number of fans that it was originally scheduled to host.

The safety of everyone involved with the TOUR is the number 1 priority, and eliminating the presence of fans does just that. The TOUR will focus on TV presentation and player experience. Governor Mike DeWine of Ohio has stated his backing of this decision.

“The Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide and the PGA Tour have made the right decision in not allowing spectators to attend this year. I know it was a difficult decision to make, but the organizers of the Memorial have put the health and safety of players and fans first.”

We still don’t know when fans will be allowed to attend tournaments, but it doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon.

How weird would a Fall, silent Masters be?

I grew up in southern New Hampshire, where I first fell in love with the game of golf. I started by just going out and messing around with my buddies and focusing purely on having a good time! I never took golf seriously until I moved down to Tampa, FL to attend the University of South Florida. Go Bulls! At the start of my junior year I got a job working as a cart boy at a local private country club. This is when I started to focus on golf becoming my career. During the fall of my senior year, I turned from a 14 handicap, to a 2. I passed the PAT scoring test my first try and haven't looked back.
