BREAKING: Scottie Scheffler Wins The WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play & Becomes World No. 1
Scottie Scheffler has won the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play defeating Kevin Kisner 4&3 in the final round. With the win, Scheffler overtakes Jon Rahm as the World No. 1, marking the first time in Scheffler’s career he holds that title.

This is Scheffler’s third win in his career, his third win on the PGA TOUR this season, and his third win in his last five starts on TOUR. Scheffler is also the first player on TOUR to win three events this season. This season, his other wins are the WM Phoenix Open and the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
This is Scheffler’s second consecutive year reaching the championship match, losing to Billy Horschel last year. He is also the first University of Texas graduate to win at Austin Country Club.

The PGA TOUR stays in Texas next week for the Valero Texas Open for the last tournament before the Masters, where Jordan Spieth will be defending his 2021 championship.
