BREAKING: Tiger Confirms Return to Competitive Play At The Hero World Challenge
Perhaps the greatest news to come out following the 2022 Election Day is that Tiger Woods has announced his return to competitive play: the Hero World Challenge (Dec. 1–4, 2022) (Albany, Bahamas).
I am excited to announce that I will be in the field for this year’s #HeroWorldChallenge. A big welcome to @K_Kisner and @TommyFleetwood1 for joining us as well. See you soon at Albany!

The announcement is very promising given that Tiger Woods has not played in a competition round since The Open Championship (July 14–17, 2022), where he did not make the cut.
Further promising is that Tiger’s commitment to the Hero World Challenge now marks the third event he will playing in during December, in addition to The Match (December 10th), which will feature Tiger and Rory McIlroy against Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth, and the PNC Championship, alongside Charlie.

The recent announcement is also promising for the TGL, a tech-based golf league launched by Tiger and Rory in partnership with the PGA TOUR that will feature six 3-man teams competing in 15 regular-season, 18-hole virtual matches.
The TGL league is tentatively scheduled to start in January 2024.
