Dechambeau found himself in a tricky situation for more than one reason during the final round at the LIV event. On the 14th hole, a par 4 that was playing 396 yards, Bryson found himself roughly 70 yards needing to hoist the ball over the tree, but what came next nobody saw coming.

Dechambeau hit the shot he wanted, and even thinking for a moment, his ball went in the hole, it hit the pin leaving him with a short putt for birdie.

However, as Dechambeau was headed back into the fairway out of the rough, Bryson went on the low side of where the marshall had lifted up the rope and got hit directly in his right eye. I caught the whole dynamic unfolding as I continued to record.

Bryson immediately went down to his knees and said he couldn’t see out of his right eye. It was a bit of a scary situation in the heat of the moment. Even though wanting medical attention, he proceeded along with his freshly damaged eye, which led to an eventful birdie.

Hopefully, Bryson Dechambeau is doing well now, it was one of those things that made you cringe from just the sights of it all.
