Bubba Watson, 43, is now officially sidelined for the rest of the season’s golf majors. He played through a torn meniscus and tied the single-round scoring record at the PGA Championship just two weeks ago. It will be just a minor setback for Bubba to be a golf fan for nearly the remainder season.

Watson announced yesterday via Instagram that he will be going through meniscus preservation. He explained that going in this direction will ensure his longevity in golf, which will result in him being on crutches for 8-12 weeks.

Fast forward to today, everything was a success according to Bubba Watson’s doctor as he is relaxing in his bed all bandaged up watching the U.S. Women’s Open. The timetable is not clear when exactly he will return.

It may be next season as Bubba alluded to wanting to ensure he can play the game he loves for many years to come with the operation he underwent. Hopefully, it will be a speedy recovery for Bubba Watson, but for now, it’s time for the seasoned vet to kick his feet up.
