Caitlyn Clark Nearly Takes Out Two Golf Fans!
I want to start this out by saying that while I couldn’t hold a candle to Caitlin Clark on a basketball court, I’m willing to bet I’d be just as likely to do this at a Pro-Am. Pressure is real, people—it crushes submarines and makes diamonds.
That said, WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark—who plays to a 16 Handicap—is participating in The Annika’s Pro-Am (which is still being played as of publishing). And like we’ve all experienced, the first tee jitters were hitting hard on the rising superstar.

Amazingly, before the Pro-Am, Clark stated, “I don’t want to hit anyone with a golf ball. That’s my No. 1 priority,” so it seems that she violated the unspoken rule and willed this into existence.
Clark is playing with tournament host Annika Sorenstam and World No. 1 Nelly Korda, so hopefully, the two established pros can offer some helpful swing and metal tips to keep the close calls to a minimum for the rest of the round—and, preferably, the remainder of Clark’s (amateur) golfing career.
That said, between this and the Good Good similar incident from last year, I think it’s safe to say that when the Average Joe’s are playing, I’ll avoid the firing lane and stay (far) behind whoever is teeing off.
