Charley Hoffman Has Had It With The PGA

Beloved golfer and WM ambassador Charlie Hoffman has had enough of the stupid and poorly thought out rules on the PGA tour.

Despite one of his sponsors being the host for this tournament, Hoffman isn’t all smiles.

After hitting his ball into the water and taking a penalty (deserved) he had to take a drop. That’s not the issue. The problem is that the drop itself kept rolling backwards into the water so he gets slammed with another penalty.

It’s a dumb rule. Common sense would leave you to believe that the rule shouldn’t even exist but I’m also not a rules expert. Obviously this pissed him off and he took to the Internet to let the tour know.

After blowing off steam he of course apologized. The rules are the rules and even if he did everything by the book, sometimes you just get screwed.

I’m sure he will be fined and that’s about it. I bet if Tiger said this the tour would change the rule that week. Either way the Waste Management Week never disappoints.
