Charlie Woods has golf in his blood and his genes. Apart from his Dad’s legendary legacy, the high schooler is already making his own mark on the Junior Tour by winning the South Florida PGA High School Championship.

Woods managed to lead his team, the Benjamin School Buccaneers, to the team championship while winning an individual title on his own. After firing a 65 that included nine birdies and equated to a 7-under round, Charlie more than solidified that he would be living up to the task of being a golfing Woods.

The Benjamin School was led by Woods with a 65, Tyler Bruneua with a 70, Aiden Miller with a 72, and Luke Wise with a 74, which helped catapult the Buccaneers to a five-shot victory over Somerset Academy.

Charlie also took home the individual title in the Boy’s division. The event was rain-shortened and only counted round one scores as the second round was unable to be completed.

The performance comes just a week after Woods took home a championship in the Last Chance Regional, which helped him earn a spot at the Notah Begay III National Championship, the premier tournament in Junior Golf.

Woods had Dad on the bag for that victory, which he secured with an eight-footer on the last hole to secure a win in the 14-15 age division.
