DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH: Srixon Golf Ball Price Steals and Deals
Discount stores are rockin’ hella good deals on tour-performance & entry level Srixon golf balls.
I really love the game of golf, no matter if I’m a mid-20’s handicap. I’m working hard to get better and do so on a budget that won’t kill me.
It’s not that I can’t afford to spend more. It’s that I don’t want to because I’m the definition of a value buyer (AKA a cheap bastard).
That’s why my new clubs are technically several years old but they are brand new ones I built myself from manufacturer’s closeout components (and that’s something I hope to show you soon — how I saved when and how I built my irons). But when I see amazing prices on really good gear, I’m going to let you know about it so you too can get more golf into your budget.
I noticed at several Walmart stores across two different regions in Pennsylvania that Srixon balls are on a ridiculous good store price. These may not be the 2020 model but for 40% off the MSRP, who gives a damn, right?

If you haven’t tried a Srixon Z Star golf ball then you’re really missing out. I might suck at golf but I really like hitting a premium ball, so for me it’s almost always Titleist Pro V1 or Srixon Z Star in my bag. To be honest, Srixon Z Star are usually played by me more considering they cost 25% less than other tour balls before I even find a super deal.
Srixon Z Star are super sweet-feeling off every club in your bag, and snagging these balls for just $24.96 that normally cost $39.99 a dozen? Well, that’s an amazing deal. Heck, that’s half of what I pay for Pro V’s and right on par with what you or I’d be paying for direct to consumer brands by the dozen like Vice or Snell.
Another sick Srixon deal comes in their Soft Feel line. Again, it might not be the “current model” ball, but grabbing a dozen for $11.99 at Target and $12.96 at Walmart respectively is enough to make you stock up on a $22 a dozen offering. They’re not my favorite Srixon on the shelf, but getting each ball for a George means grabbing a couple dozen and not fearing that 160 yard par-3 with Lake Erie in front of the green.
Again, I love a great deal, and I love to share them with you. If you spot something amazing, send it to me through the Golficity website, and I might just share all of Golficity to enjoy.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to try and shank this 4-iron with actual tour grade golf balls that just cost me less than my greens fees (and I didn’t have to buy them used from the bottom of a lake seller).
