Discount Codes for LIV Boston Event Signals 7 Future Defectors?
Despite the PGA TOUR’s recently announced changes, it remains highly likely—if not inevitable due to contract signings—that several current TOUR golfers will be announcing their decision to join LIV once the FedEx Cup Championship wraps up this weekend.
But it appears that we may not even need to wait for formal announcements from LIV or the players themselves to get an idea of who that will be:
Here’s five other names/codes that also work, which corresponds with the information that we (and many others) have. pic.twitter.com/PgWLdOTKVO

No Laying Up—one of the more tenured golf content creators—noted that seven names are registering as active discount codes for the upcoming LIV event at Boston, being played between September 2nd and 4th at The International Golf Club:
- Cam Smith;
- Marc Leishman;
- Cameron Young;
- Joaquin Niemann
- Anirban Lahiri;
- Harold Varner III; and
- Cameron Tringale.
It only benefits LIV to have these guys associated with the conversation, and this conflicts with information we’ve received, but:
Probably worth asking Niemann and Cam Young why their names are among the few that work for ticket discounts next week. pic.twitter.com/UMYrCOrEGT

The top 3 golfers listed above are in bold because their names have frequently been on tip of people’s tongues when discussing LIV departure rumors.
A quick review of that list makes it clear that Smith, who’s currently fighting to bring home the FedEx Cup Championship, would be the most noteworthy departure, both as the defending Open Champion and as a young, popular talent who’s frequently at the top of a leaderboard.

Cameron Young, however, would also be a big loss for the TOUR, as the young talent put up an incredible show on his way to a second-place finish at the Old Course earlier this year.
It is also worth noting that these seven could be joining confirmed LIV defector Bubba Watson, and thus adding more than one former Major winner to LIV Golf.
