Dustin Johnson comes from behind on Sunday to claim victory at the Travelers  Championship. DJ was able to outlast Kevin Streelman down the stretch to grab a PGA Tour victory for his 13th consecutive season.

His new Taylormade Truss putter proved to be the difference maker, as he gained nearly 6 strokes on the field putting this week.

Third round leader Brendon Todd couldn’t hold it together on Sunday to claim his 3rd victory of the season. He started his round by making 11 straight pars, but then played his next 3 holes +4. With being so consistent the first 3 days of the tournament, it was hard to believe he would play a final round like this. Although, being paired with a former World No. 1 in the final round might have put a little extra pressure on him that he wasn’t ready for.

Will Gordon bounced back on Sunday after a very disappointing Saturday round of 71. A +1 round wasn’t enough to keep up with everyone going low, and he seemed to play his way out of the tournament. He was able to post a 64 and get into the clubhouse at -17. It was never going to be enough to win, but this result will be a confidence booster for Gordon as he continues his journey to become a full-time Tour pro.

Phil Mickelson played near perfect golf the first 2 days of the tournament. He wasn’t taking huge chances, and was focusing on hitting fairways and greens. This strategy resulted in heading into the weekend at -13. He strayed from his early strategy a bit during the weekend, and it hurt his game. He posted consecutive rounds of 71 on Saturday and Sunday, killing his chances of his first victory since turning 50. Phil finished the week at T24.

The lowest rounds on Sunday belonged to Lucas Glover and Doc Redman, who each played a bogey-free round of 63, -7.

I grew up in southern New Hampshire, where I first fell in love with the game of golf. I started by just going out and messing around with my buddies and focusing purely on having a good time! I never took golf seriously until I moved down to Tampa, FL to attend the University of South Florida. Go Bulls! At the start of my junior year I got a job working as a cart boy at a local private country club. This is when I started to focus on golf becoming my career. During the fall of my senior year, I turned from a 14 handicap, to a 2. I passed the PAT scoring test my first try and haven't looked back.
