Dustin Johnson wins the TOUR Championship and FEDEX Cup Title. Oh, and a cool $15 million.

DJ has been the best player on the planet since the PGA Championship weeks ago. He held the 54 hole lead that week, but wasn’t able to capitalize. The playoffs have been a whole new story. He wins the Northern Trust by double-digit strokes, shooting a nice -30.

Then he held the 54 hole lead at the BMW, but lost in a playoff to Jon Rahm. This week, he started at -10, a 2 shot lead, and never looked back. He struggled early in the week with his driver, but then got it turned around on Saturday. If some of the putts he rolled this week went in, he would have won by 10. Instead, he birdied the last to win by 3 over JT and Xander Schauffele. His game is peaking just in time for the US Open, where he will look to win his 2nd major.

Xander Schauffele made it interesting down the stretch, but he played the last 6 holes even par, and that wasn’t enough to catch DJ. Xander rolled his rock this week, ranking 2nd in SG: Putting, gaining 8.5 strokes. He loves, loves, loves East Lake, so good luck to anyone if he ever comes into this tournament near the top of the leaderboard.

JT couldn’t buy a putt this week. He struck the ball as good as anyone all week, but couldn’t convert on the greens. His short game is polished, and ranked 2nd in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee. He’s in a good spot with his game to contend for his 2nd major in just a few weeks.

I grew up in southern New Hampshire, where I first fell in love with the game of golf. I started by just going out and messing around with my buddies and focusing purely on having a good time! I never took golf seriously until I moved down to Tampa, FL to attend the University of South Florida. Go Bulls! At the start of my junior year I got a job working as a cart boy at a local private country club. This is when I started to focus on golf becoming my career. During the fall of my senior year, I turned from a 14 handicap, to a 2. I passed the PAT scoring test my first try and haven't looked back.
