Dustin Johnson Makes Move on LIV Golf Future Following Intense Speculation
Dustin Johnson has made his move regarding his future with LIV Golf following intense speculation regarding his future.
DJ left the PGA TOUR in 2022 and was one of the biggest shocks of the entire saga, especially considering just days before it was confirmed he would head to the Saudi-backed golf league, he said he would retain his TOUR membership.
However, he decided to jump ship, taking $100 million for a three-year deal, and joining fellow TOUR defectors Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed, and others.

Johnson officially signed an extension with LIV that will see him continue as the Captain for the 4Aces team, which he plays on with Reed, Harold Varner III, and Thomas Pieters.

Flushing It initially reported DJ’s decision to extend with LIV. The account also reported Jon Rahm’s move well before it became official back in December 2023.
Details of the new contract are unknown, so there’s no real meat on whether DJ is getting paid more for his retention. Nevertheless, it’s a huge move for the league, which has fought off rumors of losing several big names as their contracts expire.
