As it often does, “Golf Twitter” provided some entertainment over the weekend.

The topic: “The Watering Hole” at LIV Golf Adelaide. The 12th hole was set up like the 16th at the WM Phoenix Open, and things got crazy after Chase Koepka hit a hole-in-one.

The wild celebration was a great scene and caught the eye of many in the golf world.

Roger Mitchell, co-host of the “Are You Not Entertained?” podcast, tweeted the clip and tagged his on-air partner Eddie Pepperell in the clip.

Pepperell draws the comparison to TPC Scottsdale in his response. He sent another message saying that things like this have also happened on the DP World Tour as well, prompting a response from Richard Bland.

Bland played on the European Tour (now DP World Tour) for over two decades before joining LIV Golf last year.

Pepperell, who has two wins on the DP World Tour to Bland’s one, didn’t hold back in his response.

Accepting defeat, Bland also admitted to not being in a full mental state when he sent off his initial tweet.

To his end, Pepperell also offered post-match analysis, saying, “You just left yourself so open. The haymaker had no choice but to land.”

Bland was tied for second place after the first round of LIV Golf Adelaide before ending up with a 35th-place finish.
