Eddie Pepperell Just Pulled an All-Day Prank On Matt Wallace
Pepperell is quickly becoming a notable name in golf, especially on the European Tour where he is doing plenty of damage in competition. Pepperell is also moving up in the corporate ranks of the European Tour, which has allowed him to make contacts with the social media team. And having that group on your side opens up a new world of prank opportunities.
This is where Matt Wallace comes in.
Wallace is the defending champion of the European Tour’s BMW International Open, which has been giving him a lot of media attention. So Pepperell decided to use that to his advantage.
With Pepperell pulling the strings behind the scenes, Wallace had a media circuit that became the day from hell.

To begin, Wallace had a driver to his events that would not stop talking to him and had him arriving late to events. At the events, he was corrected for his pronunciation of words in a voice over, followed by reading scripts in German. Then he met a PR woman that kept saying his name wrong. Finally, he was told that he had scratched a car that was worth over $2 million and that he was being asked to pay for repairs.
After that bombshell is when Pepperell revealed himself as the mastermind of Wallace’s day. And while Wallace can take a joke, that doesn’t mean he’ll be forgetting about this prank.
“To know from Eddie that he set it up and wanted me specifically,” Wallace said. “There’s revenge. There’s revenge involved somewhere down the line.”
