Jason Day’s Wife Ellie Day Sent to Hospital After Collision with Lebron James
It was a wild night in Cleveland on Thursday when Lebron James collided into a courtside seat knocking over and injuring Jason Day’s wife Ellie Day.
During a Cavaliers’ home game against Oklahoma City at Quicken Loans Arena, James was trying to make an aggressive play to keep the ball from going out of bounds. The 6-foot-8 mega-star, who just signed a lifetime deal with Nike, throw himself into the courtside seats, unintentionally barreling over Ellie Day in the process.
Mrs. Day was carried from the arena on a stretcher with her head immobilized and taken to a local hospital for evaluation. Although there is no official report of her current condition, it has been said that she was talking with James during the stoppage of play during which time James apologized profusely.
James was quoted saying, “I squeezed her hand and she said she was OK…She was just a little shaken.”
Later that evening James tweeted:
Ellie Day I hope you’re doing okay! My apologies! Hope u guys come back to another game soon. Love LJ!

Ellie was released from the hospital early this morning and is said to be doing just fine.
