Equipment Manufacturers Callaway, PING Standing by LIV Guys
One major factor in the equipment world is whether manufacturers will stand by their golfers after moving to LIV.
Initially, we failed to see many sponsors on the LIV merchandise as they were getting it off the ground.
In the development of LIV over the last two years it has become increasingly clear that either a merger will happen – or LIV will continue to develop at the expense of the other Tours. This means golf manufacturers have to choose where they focus their efforts. Callaway will be standing by Jon Rahm on his move to LIV golf, maintaining their long standing partnership.
It is now understood that PING will be doing the same with other players and LIV teams, most likely Stinger GC made up of the South African contingent of LIV. Louis Oosthuizen has been with PING for over a decade, encompassing a very successful career.
PING had an equipment truck at the very first event in LIV London back in 2022, where Charl Schwartzel took home the individual title.

Stinger GC have been sporting caps with the PING logo on the side, and it seems that some OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) are comfortable making the transition over to LIV. It may soon be normal to see sponsors backing golfers on the LIV Tour as it grows in size and popularity.
Oosthuizen is flying at the Mauritius Open, so you might see a PING cap with the winners trophy by the end of the weekend!
