GET OUTTA HERE MAN: Mickelson/Norman Give Alan Shipnuck The Boot
The first round of the London LIV Golf Invitational began yesterday with continued drama.
For those who might have missed it, the firestorm between Alan Shipnuck and Phil Mickelson all began a few months ago when Phil made comments comments to the writer that were perceived to be controversial. This resulted in Phil staying out of the public eye and receiving counseling to better himself.
However, the interview appeared to create a rift that was captured on full display when Shipnuck tried to get into the Phil Mickelson press conference.

It would appear that LIV Golf as a whole did not want Alan Shipnuck in that Phil press conference. He was held up by security with frontrunner Greg Norman looking on from time-time.
It’s hard to tell if Norman was fully aware of the situation or not.
Later it would be revealed by Shipnuck that when he texted Norman he was not aware of the situation.
You cannot make this shit up! I texted Greg Norman before someone sent me this video – I had no idea he was lurking behind me. pic.twitter.com/thgdMlfTAR

Here’s part of the situation that was captured by an onlooker. Shipnuck says he was physically removed by security, but the video was cut short where it was hard to hear the conversation and see the end result.
Here’s a snippet of video of @AlanShipnuck getting removed from Phil Mickelson’s post-round interview this evening at the LIV event outside of London. Not shown: one of the security guards twice putting hands on Alan, who on both occasions said, “Do not touch me.” Video by @CNN https://t.co/zQRTKfUNwd pic.twitter.com/r5jj0ysibe
