GOLFZON Tour Launches Inaugural Season with $150,000 Grand Prize
GOLFZON is launching its inaugural season of the GOLFZON Tour — a 12-team competition across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and England with a $150,000 grand prize for the winner.
A series of matches will take place throughout the season, leading up to the Tour Finals, which will take place at the 2025 PGA Show.
GOLFZON has operated a similar competition in South Korea for over a decade, known as the GTOUR. It is a highly successful simulator league that has attracted some of the country’s top golfers, and the broadcasts of the event have drawn popularity comparable to the PGA TOUR and LPGA TOUR event coverage in the region.
Sean Pyun, CEO of GOLFZON America, explained the reasoning for the expansion into new markets:
“GOLFZON Tour came to mind while visiting and listening to our store owners over my first nine months as CEO. The goal of GOLFZON Tour is to positively impact and elevate GOLFZON customers by providing programming and funding that could be impactful for any of the 200 GOLFZON locations in North America and Europe.”
Now, GOLZON is pushing its winning strategy with a proven track record to a new market, as North America and Europe are getting their first taste of professional simulator golf.
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL league is set to begin next year, and in markets overseas, simulator golf has been highly attractive to golf fans, Pyun says:
“While the idea of a simulator golf tour like TGL is new to golfers in North America and Europe, GOLFZON has been operating them in Asia for many years and we understand the infrastructure needed to make them thrive. “Our partner facilities in these 12 cities are giving local golfers the chance to live out their dreams and compete for a substantial cash prize against the best players from other regions without the financial constraints of travel.”
There will be two divisions with six teams in each, all having their own “home” simulator:
- East Division
● London – The Golf Rooms
● New York City – GOLFZON Social
● Toronto – Golfplay
● Detroit – Tee Times
● Louisville – Tee It Up Golf USA
● Orlando – GOLFZON Leadbetter - West Division
● Minneapolis – Element Indoor Golf
● Chicago – The Green
● Tulsa – BirdieBay
● Houston – The Daly Round
● Mexico – Mulligan’s Monterrey
● Los Angeles – Golf Envy
Each team will have five players, and matches will be contested through GOLFZON’s Network Play, allowing golfers in different areas to compete live against one another at a host venue equipped with the company’s TwoVision simulators.

First-round matchups will take off in November and will be available to watch on golfzontour.com and the official GOLFZON YouTube channel. Courses featured throughout the season will be notables like St. Andrews, Pebble Beach, the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, and Harbour Town Golf Links.
The introduction of simulator golf leagues in our market brings together technology and a modern take on the game, especially as it has grown so substantially through the past few years.
