Back in April Justin gave us the scoop on a new reality golf show Holey Moley hitting the airwaves this summer. Recently new details have become available. Holey Moley will air on June 20th at 8 P.M. ET on ABC. This show will be bringing in some star power to help get it off the ground. As Justin detailed previously the executive producer is Steph Curry. He’s a proven superstar in the NBA. Besides his well-known three-point shooting ability he is also known for shooting low scores on the golf course. Its no surprise that Steph is involved in this project.

If Steph wasn’t enough star power ABC is brining in ESPN play by play guy Joe Tessitore and comedian Rob Riggle per ew.com. If you are a fan of FOX’s NFL Sunday pregame show you are familiar with Riggle’s hilarious personality, so you can expect to be entertained with his commentary throughout the show. Besides Joe and Rob, the show will also have sideline reporter Jeannie Mai.

What can we expect from Holey Moley? “This is miniature golf unlike anything you’ve ever seen; it’s like miniature golf meets ninja warriors meets Double Dare from back in the day- it’s insane” Mai told EW.com. It’s the summer so that means TV networks are going to be pushing out shows that could get a second season in the fall or be canceled before they reach the third episode. Based on how this show is being pitched it sounds a lot like ABC took all the old props, equipment and gags from the show Wipeout and added a golf element.

On the surface it sounds entertaining. Its brining golf to more people with the flair of contestants getting launched into freezing cold water. The show could lose its novelty after a few episodes but if there is a consistent borage of contestants getting launched by a spinning windmill, knocked down by a spinning wheel of death all while racing to the finish they’ll have me watching at least the first few episodes. I’m calling it now though, the first competitor that gets hit in the groin area you can expect Rob Riggle to yell out TWO, not fore!

Ed started playing golf when he was 18. It started out as a hobby and something he liked to do but by 2014 it had turned into a full blown obsession. Since then Ed has committed himself to improving and learning more about the game. He doesn’t work in the golf industry, he’s not a teaching pro, he’s a guy who just loves the game and enjoys sharing his thoughts with others who share the same passion.
