It just goes to show how hard it is to make that kind of scratch out on Tour. More importantly, nothing is guaranteed as far as salaries go out on the links.

Sponsorships create a nice cushion financially, but if you want to earn your dough through winnings, the PGA Tour is as hard as it gets to cashing a steady paycheck in sports.
