How to Watch The First Round of the LIV Golf Invitational Series

We have seen a lot of confusion, questions, concerns, memes, amongst other things regarding LIV Golf. The anticipated first event of the LIV starts this Thursday in London at Centurion Golf Club. Fans can enjoy the first event at livgolf.com, Facebook, or YouTube depending on the viewer’s desires.

On their website it says more details will be coming soon regarding the event; it seems that it will be a learning curve for everyone to learn the new playing style. This tournament in London will be the first of 8 eight events with about half of the tournaments being played on American soil.

The format of the first event will feature 48 players, 12 captains, and 12 teams in a shotgun start. There is no cut and only three rounds of tournament play. It will be a combination of individual and team stroke play, which hints that it will be some type of best ball to maintain an individual score.

The Captains will draft 3 players each to their team in a snake draft, making it fairer for each captain to get a more balanced team. The teams will be announced today, June 7th, but there still hasn’t been any announcement of teams so far. We will have to wait to see how the teams shape up.

Dustin Johnson, Louis Oosthuizen, and others sat down today ahead of the event to explain their stance and reasoning for joining this tour. It should be interesting to see how this format works and how the players enjoy it from tournament to tournament.
