The Masters has already brought a ton of excitement to the world of golf this year but the PGA TOUR is looking to keep that excitement going. And one way that they’re looking to do that is through bringing back golf’s most viral player not named Tiger Woods.

It was announced Wednesday that internet sensation Hosung Choi will be making his second appearance on the PGA TOUR this year at the John Deere Classic later this summer.

Choi, you may remember was nothing short of a viral internet sensation just a few months ago with a golf swing that’s utterly “unique” to say the least.

But Choi isn’t just a side-show novelty. Using that crazy swing, Choi has won and contended for several tournaments in Asia that has him sitting at the 226th spot in the World Golf Rankings. And his skill has even caught the eye of some of the celebrity amateurs he encountered at the Pebble Beach Pro-am.

His biggest fan seems to be Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. “We had him over to the house, him and his family. We had a blast,” Rodgers said of his time with Choi. “There’s obviously some loss in translation with the language barrier, but we had his translator there, and we just had a blast. He’s a great guy. I think it’s great for the tournament and for golf. Obviously, his swing gets a lot of attention, but he’s a good player. It was a lot of fun to play with him.”

While he has this strong endorsement as well as the reputation as a solid player, Choi will be hoping to perform better than he did at Pebble Beach. That week he shot poorly for his standards, missing the cut by 11 strokes. If Choi wants to prove he can play with the best he will surely have to put together a stronger performance in his encore appearance.

Even if he doesn’t do better the second time around, Choi’s appearance will be a big hit for fans who love watching his gritty style and raw emotion. And who knows, perhaps if Choi strings together a strong showing maybe we’ll see a lot more of him moving forward.
