Is Adam Scott Joining The Saudi Golf League?

Just like every other player in the Genesis Invitational field this week, Adam Scott got asked about the new Saudi backed golf league.

Unlike Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Tiger Woods and Jon Rahm, Scott seems to be one of the 17 players Kramer Hickok said has agreed to join the league.

Unlike most of the other guys, Scott’s response certainly makes it seem like he is going to be joining the Saudi golf league and has signed an NDA so he can’t talk about it.

I don’t blame Scott here honestly if he wants to join the Saudi league. He has made $57 million in career earnings not even including his endorsement deals. He has 31 professional wins including winning the 2013 Masters. Besides winning the other 3 majors, what else does the 41 year old have to prove?

If he can just play 14 events a year and spend the rest of his time with his family being semi-retired who could really blame him? Especially with the huge signing bonus I’m sure he is getting from the Saudi’s.

The connection also makes sense for Scott to join his former President’s Cup captain and fellow Aussie Greg Norman, who is the commissioner of the Saudi golf league.

Everything lining up makes too much sense for Scott not to be one of the 17.

What do you think?
