J.J. Spaun Wins The Valero Texas Open

Matt Jones and Matt Kuchar finished T2 at 11-under. Adam Hadwin, Troy Merritt, Charles Howell III, and Beau Hossler all finished T4 at 10-under to round out the top 5.

This is Spaun’s first win on the PGA TOUR and the win also gets him into the Masters next week for the first time in his career.

It’s officially major season! The PGA TOUR moves on to The Masters at Augusta National for its first major championship of the year where Hideki Matsuyama will try to repeat as Masters Champion while Tiger Woods is still deciding whether or not he will be able to tee it up on Thursday.
