Jack Nicklaus is Not Interested in Watching Tiger’s Return
Plenty of golf fans were sitting on the edge of their seat to watch Tiger Woods return to professional golf. But for one legend, the return of Tiger wasn’t anything noteworthy.
Jack Nicklaus was recently asked his thoughts about Tiger returning to the pro ranks a few weeks ago at the Hero Challenge and he didn’t have too much to say about the topic. The media caught up with the Golden Bear at the PNC Father/Son Challenge and Nicklaus stated that he didn’t really care at all that Woods was back on the PGA TOUR.
It doesn’t seem like Nicklaus is too interested in watching any specific players anymore when checking out his response. “I’m not interested at all,” Nicklaus said to reporters.
“Do I wish [Tiger] well? Yeah, but I’m not interested in watching him. I’ve watched him play golf for 20-something years, why would I want to go watch more? I don’t watch anybody play golf.”

While Nicklaus’ response may come off as pretty cold, you can’t help but feel for the guy. Ever since Tiger took off and became a serious threat to beat Jack’s record for most majors won, the Golden Bear has constantly been asked to weigh in on Woods.
I’m sure that he enjoyed the time that Tiger was away because of the media harassment and I can’t really blame him for being sick of being asked about Tiger.

As for Tiger, I’m willing to bet that he is focused on golf and not worried about if Jack Nicklaus is watching him or not. Coming off of his top ten finish at the Hero Challenge, Tiger has continued to look strong especially at a clinic that Woods holds in Mexico every year. The audience stated that Woods was hitting every shot easily. That bodes well for Tiger, who still doesn’t have a concrete schedule for the 2018 season.
Regardless of if Jack wants to watch Tiger’s return to the PGA TOUR, there are several fans that are anxiously waiting to see what he can do in a full season. Hopefully, the old Woods reemerges starting with his first event of the new year.
