Joel Dahmen Gets Announced As Harris English On 16 at WMPO

We’ve all had that moment where we call someone by the wrong name. Most of the time it’s a lowkey thing that just gets corrected and doesn’t turn into anything big.

Well, this wasn’t the case for the announcer on 16 at the Waste Management Phoenix Open yesterday when he announced Harris English…I mean Joel Dahmen.

This video is so hilarious and theres so much to take in.

At first Joel was confused but as soon as the announcer said “4 time PGA TOUR victories” Joel caught on and the video just gets funnier and funnier. Even CC Sabathia was eating it up in the background!

Once the announcement is done and Joel raises his hands everyone just lost it.

The funniest part might be the fact that the announcer didn’t realize he did anything wrong until Joel’s caddie Geno Bonnalie turned around so the announcer could see the “Dahmen” on Geno’s back. You also have to love that when the announcer came over to apology Geno told him they loved it and to just go along with it.

Joel and Geno might be the funniest player/caddie pair out there on TOUR.

We all have to feel for that announcer though. We’ve all been there before, just not in a situation that is anywhere near as important than a PGA TOUR event.
