John Daly Hates Walmart, Was Forced to Self-Checkout 100 Items

If there was ever a match made in heaven, it would be John Daly and Walmart. The two are the perfect example of representing the common man but now, Daly is starting a split with Walmart.

The two actually have a lot in common, including both being from Arkansas. And Daly has done a lot of work with the megastore, selling his clothing line, video games, and golf balls to the company for resale. But Daly has also been a happy customer at Walmart for years, constantly talking them up on social media.

Daly even went as far as to say that the feeling he gets when leaving a Walmart is comparable to how amazing it is when he finishes a great round on the course. But like most relationships, there are bound to be conflicts. And when Daly is involved in a conflict he tends to go nuclear. And that is exactly what happened after Daly’s most recent Walmart trip.

According to Daly, he is never going to step foot in a Walmart again after the terrible service he received. He says that when he went to check out with over 100 items, there was only one register open. So rather than wait who knows how long to get checked out, he was forced to take all of those items and use the self-checkout.

My first reaction to this is to ask how in the world Daly was buying over 100 items in Walmart. But after I got over that, I think Daly has a legitimate gripe. For a company that employs more people than anyone else in the world, I’m not sure how they can only have one person operating a register. Perhaps it was just a scheduling anomaly but that’s pretty bad.

After this bad experience, I bet Daly will eventually get over it and make up with his favorite store. But if not, I’m sure there are other stores that would line up for his support.
