Jon Rahm Celebrates First LIV Golf Win, But Shows More Fury on the Course
For a man who made $4 million this weekend – and several more on top of that with his LIV Golf deal – Jon Rahm sure looks like he’s not having too much fun playing “Golf, but Louder,” as the tour’s motto suggests.
Rahm picked up his first win on the circuit at the event in the England, which was also his first professional win since the 2023 Masters. After a rough start to major season, along with missing the U.S. Open due to a toe injury, Rahm started heating up with a seventh-place finish at the Open Championship last week.
But Rahm’s weekend wasn’t all roses, as he dealt with fans yelling out while lining up a swing several times. On the final occasion, caddy Adam Hayes voiced his displeasure.
Fan: “You’re in the cabbage Raaaahmbo.”
Rahm: “Hey man”
Rahm: *Stares*
Adam Hayes: “Yeah it’s gobbled up, yell louder when we’re in our f***cking backswing, you d***head!”

Since joining the circuit in December, Rahm has pushed for a 72-hole format, has admitted to wanting to be able to return to the PGA Tour, and flipped out over a drone buzzing overhead at LIV Golf Nashville last month.
Despite the anxious moments on Saturday, Rahm was overjoyed with the victory.
What a special week in the UK! Thank you @JCBGolfCC and the fans for making it possible and I can’t wait to come back and defend next year! pic.twitter.com/xAbC5GPyST

Rahm sits in second place in the LIV season standings, trailing only Joaquin Niemann with two events remaining. Outside of withdrawing from one event due to the toe injury, he is 10-for-10 in top-10 finishes. Now, Rahm heads to Paris for the Olympics tournament this weekend.
