Jon Rahm is Weighing Potential $600M Move to LIV Golf: report
Jon Rahm is weighing a potential $600 million move to LIV Golf, according to reports, which have hinted that the 2023 Masters Champion is potentially on his way out of the PGA Tour.
Rumors surrounding Rahm and LIV Golf have been circulating ever since the rival tour started two years ago. Of all of the PGA Tour Superstars that have remained, Rahm’s name has been the one that has come up most frequently.
Reports have continued, and on Wednesday, Bunkered reported that Rahm was “in negotiations” with LIV:
“A well-placed source told us that any talk of an imminent switch is “wide of the mark” but did add that he is “closer to joining than he has been before.”
Additionally, the golf social media account @FlushingIt has stated that Rahm is in “late stage” talks with LIV, while Lou Stagner said that there have been talks of a potential $600 million figure for the Spaniard to leave the Tour and join the Norman-led golf tour:
Jon Rahm is in late stage talks to join LIV Golf and it’s believed the hold up is not financial, but is due to him wishing to modify the format of the league.
Any changes would need the approval of all team captains as well as the league themselves. This is making negotiations…

We would like to emphasize that Rahm to LIV is NOT a done deal, but there have been several outlets reporting that the two have had discussions.
Rahm’s reported $600 million signing fee would be among the largest that LIV has offered to any golfer yet. Although LIV offered Tiger Woods between $750 million and $1 billion to join, Rahm’s figure would tower over that of Phil Mickelson at $200 million and Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka at $150 million.
Rahm has yet to comment on the rumors. However, the most recent reports prior to this morning’s speculation stated that Rahm was thinking of joining LIV earlier this month when he decided to withdraw from TGL, the indoor golf league created by TMRW Sports with help from Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
McIlroy was asked about Rahm’s decision to not play in TGL, and stated that he would be “very, very surprised” if the Spaniard decided to jump ship. Nevertheless, the rumor mill continues to spin and this is perhaps the most believable report as of yet.
