Tiger Woods Commits to Playing With Son Charlie in PNC Championship
Tiger Woods’ December calendar is filling up.
A few days after announcing that he would be playing in the Hero World Challenge next weekend, Woods announced Wednesday morning that he will tee it up with his son, Charlie, for the fourth year in a row at the PNC Championship in mid-December.

“It is an amazing gift to be able to share my love of golf with Charlie, and we genuinely do look forward to playing in the PNC Championship all years,” Woods said.
“Competing together, against a field of so many golfing greats and their families, is so special.”
Woods has not missed this event while going through a series of health issues that began with his car crash in February 2021. Most recently, he had surgery on his ankle after withdrawing from the Masters in April. He’ll be testing himself next week in the Bahamas for the all-star style event, and it will help that he’s able to use a cart in both tournaments.
In 2021, Woods and then-12-year-old Charlie famously dueled with John Daly and son John Daly II in a tournament that was won by the Dalys.

The two-round exhibition event that pairs a tour pro with an amateur—typically a child, parent, or sibling—is held Dec. 16-17 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida, and is the last time the pros tee off until the new year.
The Dalys and 2022 champions Vijay and Qass Singh are among those already entered in this year’s edition.
