Jordan Spieth Goes Full Old Tom Morris

If anyone has that natural, throw-back look and feel to them, it would be Jordan Spieth.

He doesn’t look overly athletic like a Dustin Johnson, or especially fit and trim like a Day or McIlroy. What he does look like though, is a golfer.

Which is why putting him in a full suit and cap and have him hit with hickory clubs makes all the sense in the world.

One can only imagine this video was produced to at some point act as a promotional video for the upcoming Old Tom Morris movie.

Nevertheless, it’s fun to watch one of this era’s best players dress and play with equipment from yesteryear. While watching them realize how good they have it today compared to way back then.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, why the PGA doesn’t sponsor and televise a throwback tournament like this is beyond me. It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant. Maybe just have a dozen players compete for a single round.

But how cool would it be to have guys like Jordan, JT, Rory, Rickie, and others dress the part and play with this equipment for a full round?
