The 9th hole was his final hole of the day, after carding a double bogey five on the par 3 eighth, it is left blank after a failure to complete.
After a 327-yard drive, his second shot was thinned, and on the scorecard as having disappeared into ‘the unknown’ over the back of the green.

Its is unclear why three-time PGA Tour winner Kokrak did not finish; but has led some to speculate that he has simply had enough and driven home, allegedly to join the rival LIV Tour. Kokrak did have ‘Golf Saudi’ on his bag, and according to this tweet in February, Kokrak had intended to retire at 44 to watch his kids grow up.
Oh God tell me he actually scooped it and ran off to LIV https://t.co/M6yETzZlTJ

But, this is all purely speculation and he might have just been injured. He was only +1 for the tournament through 35 holes, but the cut was two under par so he would have been on his way home this evening regardless.
In other news, there is allegedly a growing expectation that Matthew Wolff will be announced in the LIV series very soon.
