LIV Bedminster Field Confirmed, Three Spots Remain
LIV Golf has announced its field for the third event in the series, taking place at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster, New Jersey, on July 29th.
The course has played host to the 2017 Women’s US Open and is ranked in the World’s Top 100 Courses.

There are three spots remaining to fill the field for the event, which already includes new additions Paul Casey and Matthew Wolff, as well as Sadom Kaewkanjana, who shot a Sunday 65 at St. Andrews last weekend to secure a Top 15 finish in his second major.
The three remaining spots are scheduled to be announced imminently, with the focus currently targeted on the reports of acquiring European Ryder Cup Captain Henrik Stenson to the rival league. We know lovable analyst David Feherty has left NBC and is soon expected to officially make the jump. It remains to be seen whether the final three players will be another hit to take for the PGA Tour!

The LIV teams seem to be focused around nationality of players, with an all-English side and an all-South African side taking the first team win as part of Stingers GC.
There are two Thai players in the field, and perhaps the wisdom is to focus on the nationality there as well, developing the game in Asia and allowing players from that part of the world to make a name for themselves. There are also three Spaniards, including Sergio Garcia and amateur James Puig so another addition could make up an all-Spanish team there.
A group of Sept. 11 victims’ families is criticizing Donald Trump for hosting the Saudi-backed LIV golf tour at his New Jersey course later this month. The families have long accused Saudi Arabia of aiding the terrorists who carried out the attacks. https://t.co/gvdO5uDA61

This is all linked to speculation that Greg Norman seeks an all-Australian team for the LIV Series and has allegedly targeted Cam Smith after his Open win at St. Andrews. Smith poured gas on the fire by refusing to deny allegations of joining LIV and was noticeably annoyed at being asked such a question after winning his maiden major. He would join Travis Smyth and Wade Ormsby as fellow Aussie representatives in the LIV Series.
